Lending
The AHCC membership and partners believe affordable, sustainable homeownership is one of the strongest foundations upon which Arizona households can experience wealth both in life and in community.
While there are many opportunities to borrow money for the purchase of a home, selecting the most favorable loan product will require much time and research. Shopping and comparing several banks, mortgage companies, nonprofit organizations including credit unions as well as loan officers, brokers and loan products is strongly encouraged.
Lenders make loan decisions based on several borrower risk factors including credit performance or lack of credit, income history, debt load, cash available for down-payment and closing costs. It’s very important for consumers to ask “what, if anything, can I do to qualify for better more affordable loan products?” Member organizations provide loans for HOME MORTGAGES, HOME EQUITY, REVERSE MORTGAGES, REHAB/EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR.
