Housing Devlopment Specialist
New Arizona Family, Inc.

New Arizona Family, Inc., (NAFI) established in 1970, is a non-profit, behavioral health care agency. We have an opportunity available for an experienced individual to work in the Metro Phoenix area. Be a part of our NAFI family by applying for our Housing Development Specialist position. This person provides support to the Director of Planning and Development. The areas of responsibility include:

• Assisting with housing development and predevelopment activities.
• Coordinating housing team including architect and contractor, attending construction meetings, job site problem solving, etc.
• Researching, developing, writing and submitting housing development and program grants and reports.
• Assisting with oversight of construction and rehabilitation activities for properties and projects as needed.
• Preparing pro-formas, budgets, project draws, and project reports.
• Communicating direction, information, and instruction to other individuals and units.
• Indentifying priorities for the Director’s attention regarding business maters such as correspondence, reports and inquiries.

Skills / Requirements

• Bachelors Degree and three years of housing development experience or a minimum of six years experience in non-profit and/or housing development settings.
• Ability to develop, work with and understand budgets, pro-formas and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Strong mathematical ability with skills to perform complex calculations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong internet search experience.
• Experience with HUD, ADOH, Local, CDBG, HOME and/or other housing programs preferred.
• Must be highly organized with the ability and initiative to assure work on projects progresses in a timely and efficient manner.
• Arizona Drivers License is required at the time of hire.
